About Guardian Business Strategy Industry Information Community
Guardian Oil & Gas, Inc. is a non-operating, oil and gas exploration company.  Our search for oil and natural gas begins when we locate available mineral leases adjacent to areas of proven production.  Our geosciences department will acquire available data on the existing wells including well logs, completion and production records, and other subsurface data in order to analyze the technical risks of the prospect.  Our goal is to move with or ahead of new production trends.  Once our geoscientists determine that a prospect is potentially productive, Guardian begins the arduous process of researching mineral titles and acquiring mineral leases.  Our land department has built strong relationships with mineral owners, operating companies, and city and county offices.  This enables Guardian to acquire acreage positions with high potential for development that other companies are not able to access.  Finally, we partner with well-known, high-quality operators to drill and begin production.

Each prospect becomes a joint venture between Guardian Oil & Gas and the operating company.  The advantages of these partnerships are significant.  First, because each play requires unique skills and knowledge, we seek the operating company based on their experience in the area as well as the drilling expertise required to prudently develop the particular formation.  By forming a joint venture, each company leverages the strengths of the other and allows both Guardian and the operator to become involved in a greater number of plays.  Overall both companies are able to invest, operate, and produce more revenue with less exposure.  Inevitably, by increasing diversification of prospects, we decrease the total risk for both Guardian Oil & Gas as well as for the operating company.
